Hot and Spicy

Dear excursion group,

It’s hard to single out one specific highlight to talk about, as our stay in Liverpool included many different impressions. Therefore I shall concentrate on food, which is important to every country and does say a lot about its culture. One evening after having seen The Dark Knight we decided to eat out and learn more about this side of “culture”. Because we had wandered by a multitude of Indian restaurants in Liverpool city, we decided to enter one and find out what it was like to eat Indian. On this Sunday evening Cornelia, Britta and I searched for an adequate place und finally picked the “Indian Tandoori Restaurant”.

After having some problems with the confusing menu, a slow waiter and the question whether we needed rice or not, our dishes were finally served. I had ordered “chicken madras” which was described in the menu as “hot” and this was no understatement! It tasted really good, but after some bites I had to pause because of this hot chicken.

However, eating Indian food was one of my highlights of this excursion!

Yours,

Sara
